Denwood Alvin Grube, 59, of California, MD, formerly from Baltimore, MD died March 18, 2010 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. Born November 7, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Frank William Grube, Sr. and Alverta Ann Sanders Grube.

Mr. Grube graduated from the Mereanthaler Tech Institute and worked for Baltimore Gas and Electric until drafted into the U.S. Army in1970. He moved to St. Mary's County in 1972 and worked for Park Sight and Sound. He was a father that loved to work on cars with his sons. Fishing and watching the sunset were favorite past times. He also loved working puzzles with his granddaughter, Kayla.

Besides his parents, Mr. Grube was predeceased by brothers, Wayne Louis Grube, Sr., Paul Joseph Grube, Sr. and sister, Elsie Margaret Grube. He is survived by his sons, Denwood Alvin Abell Grube and Enoch Booth Abell Grube, both of California, MD and Timothy Brian Abell Grube of Piney Point, MD; daughters, Crystal Marie Grube of Ridge, MD and Sahra Irene Abell Grube of Piney Point, MD; brothers, Frank William Grube, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Bruce Robert Grube of Mechanicsville, MD and Glen Wallace Grube of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Frances Hoppa, Carolyn McMullen, Alvina Grube, Gloria Schidigger, Jackie Kelly and Valerie Dawn Mercer; grandchildren, Rebecca Johnson, Tina Johnson, Mary Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Austin Johnson, Juliana Johnson and Kayla Irene Grube.

The family will receive friends for Denwood's Life Celebration on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 11:00a.m to 1:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A service will be held at 1:00p.m. Interment will take place on April 2, 2010 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD at 2:00p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Denwood A. Grube Trust, c/o Maryland Bank and Trust, 46930 South Shangri La Drive, Lexington Park, MD, 20653

A reception will be held at the Mechanicsville Rescue Squad, 28120 Old Flora Corner Rd., Mechanicsville, MD immediately following the service.
