Ms. Smith was a registered nurse with the Department of Air Force at Andrews Air Force Base/U.S. Government and was a member of the Cheltenham Methodist Church. She was a 1982 graduate from Norwell High School in Indiana and graduated from the Nursing Program at the College of Southern Maryland in 2001; following graduation, she worked Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD as a Medical/Surgical Nurse from 2003-2005. She loved arts and crafts, dancing, music, and trips to the beach. She most loved being with family and was known for her contagious laugh. She was a prolific reader.
Daughter of the living William Charles Reffeitt and the living Nancy Ann Denney. Survived by her parents, William C. Reffeitt of Willow Spring, NC and Nancy A. Denney of La Plata, MD; step-mother Helene L. Reffeitt; one son, Joshua David White of Missouri; three daughters, Rachael Sarah White, Andrea Lynn White, and Ashley Ann White, all of Waldorf, MD; three brothers, William C. Reffeitt, III of Fremont, Indiana, Brian Lambert of Concord, NC, and Scott Reffeitt of Fremont, Indiana; two sisters, Jamie L. (Robert) Baggstrom of Pomfret, MD and Natalie Eudy of Raleigh, NC; step-sister, Michelle Francis of Indianapolis, Indiana. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 11AM to 1PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service: Wednesday, March 17 at 1PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.
