Owen Lee Canter, Jr., 40 of Accokeek, MD died on March 5, 2010 at his residence. Born on August 20, 1969 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Patricia Ann Thompson Canter and the late Owen Lee Canter.

Owen was an Elevator Mechanic for Elevator Union, Local#10. He was a diehard Capitals fan keeping their stats since the early 1980's. He also owned a 1972 Shovelhead Super Glide Harley Davidson motorcycle. Some of his other enjoyments were playing hockey recreationally, sports, music, and loved outdoors, especially taking his son exploring and catching turtles, snakes, and lizards.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his son, Kross Owen Canter, sister's, Debra Lucas & husband, Paul, Stacey Medlin & husband, Kenny, Stephanie Russ & husband, Kevin, and Patti Norment & husband, Chris.

Family will receive friends to Celebrate Owen's Life on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where Services were held at 7 p.m. Interment was Private.
