Frederick William Krause, Jr., age 93 a Charlotte Hall, MD resident since 2002 died January 28, 2010. He was born October 17, 1916 in Bradford, PA to Frederick W. and Anna (Addis) Krause, Sr.

Frederick received his education in Carmichaels, PA. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and was discharged as a Chief Petty Officer in 1945. Fred was an electronics technician with the federal government retiring from the Naval Research Lab in Annapolis in 1976. Mr. Krause held patents for improved efficiencies in mining machines and for improved method of aircraft wheel replacement. He also experimented with increasing efficiencies jet engines.

Surviving are his sons Mark W. Krause and his wife Jeanette of Owings, MD and Carl F. Krause and his wife Marie of Annapolis, MD, five grandchildren Donna Westbrook, John, Steven, Candace and Amber Krause and six great grandchildren Joshua, Elise, Sonia, Zoe, Julia and Jacob Krause.

Frederick was preceded in death by a brother Ivan Krause.
