Mrs. Sams was a 1960 graduate of St. Patrick's Academy in Washington, DC and a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oxon Hill, MD. She was a military wife of 20 years traveling extensively with the service. She was very active in the Camp Springs Boys and Girls Club with her children. She went to work for H.U.D. in 1979 as a financial analyst where she retired after 24 years of service. Always known as a good wife, mother, and grandmother. Enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, and especially her grandchildren. Always doing for others.

Daughter of the late Stanley Czoper and the late Elizabeth Pardon Czoper.

Predeceased by her parents and her late son, Charles E. Sams, Jr.

Survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles E. Sams; one daughter, Michelle (Christopher) Timko of Cobb Island, MD; one sister, Patricia Kocher of Easly, SC; two grandchildren, Joshua and Courtney. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with Prayers at 7 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Funeral Service: Friday, January 15, 2010 at 11 AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy: Father Bob Golas.

Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.

Pallbearers: Christopher, Joshua, and Sean Timko, Mike Snyder, Kenny Cocher, and Jimmy Sams.
