Doris E. Kinkade-Grover, 82, of St. Leonard, MD formally of Forestville, passed away on January 9, 2010, at her home. Doris was born on December 12, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Carl and Laura Flank.

She graduated from Maryland Park High School in 1945, and moved to Calvert County in 1976. She worked for the Federal Government as a Secretary. Doris was a very active woman with many interests, some of them were bowling, Bingo, gardening, sewing, watching her soaps, going to church, eating at Gateway, spending time with her grandchildren, her dog Alvin, and friends. She was a member of the singing group "Variety Players", the Widow Persons Group, and a Life long member the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad Alarmers.

Doris was predeceased by her first husband, Forrest Kinkade, whom she married on Nov. 20, 1948 on Forestville, MD and her second husband Garner "Pete" Grover whom she married on December 11, 1988 in Lusby, MD.

She is survived by son James L. Kinkade and his wife Jeannie of St. Leonard, and a daughter Elaine S. Anderson of Wolfeboro, N.H. Grandmother of Timothy Anderson, Daniel Kinkade, Jennifer Anderson, Jonathan Kinkade and Steven Anderson, she is also survived by a sister, Verna Yates and her husband Curtis of Albany GA.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday January 15, 2010, 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Lusby, MD with the Reverend Ronald Collier officiating.
