Lois Mae Jones, age 80, died December 26, 2009 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She was born July 21, 1929 to William Grafton and Gladys Woodyard Robey in the District of Columbia, and attended public school there.

She worked in retail for many years, and in her 50's returned to school at the University of Maryland, earning a Masters Degree in Psychology. She was a caretaker for her parents for several years as their health declined, and in her 70's again returned to school, receiving her Doctorate in Law, Summa Cum Laude, from Georgetown Law School. She was a member of M.E.N.S.A., and in her spare time enjoyed helping her elderly neighbors with legal advice. She was an avid reader and devoted grandmother.

Lois was preceded in death by her son Michael L. Jones.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law Cara L. Naumoff and husband Anthony of Prince Frederick, MD; grandsons Myles T. and Alec J. Naumoff, also of Prince Frederick; two brothers, William G. Robey of Oxon Hill and James Robey of Manila, Philippines. Also surviving are three nephews and two great-nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 AM Thursday January 14, 2010 at St. John Vianney Church, Prince Frederick, MD with Reverend Peter Daly officiating.
