Paul Eugene Reeves, age 83, a resident of Chesapeake Beach since 1989, died January 3, 2010 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. He was born February 3, 1926 in Central City, NE to Grover Cleveland and Anna McMahon Reeves.

He received his education in Central City, graduated from high school in 1943, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy later that year.

He was married to Doris Mansfield on April 18, 1967 in Port Orchard, WA. Paul retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Yeoman in 1971. His service with the U.S. Government continued as an administrative officer until retiring a second time 1993. Paul was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Stallings-Williams American Legion Post 206, the Fleet Reserve Association and the Retired Enlisted Association. He enjoyed working in his yard as well as helping others with their yardwork, watching football and doing research on his genealogy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Anna Reeves, a son Carl Reeves and a daughter Sheryl Blancett.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years Doris Reeves; children Paul E. Reeves, Jr. and his wife Kae of Nokesville, VA, Anna Marie Smith and her husband Jim of Raleigh, NC and Teri Lynn Elie of Stafford, VA; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and a brother Lawrence Reeves and his wife Donna of Central City, NE.
