Emilia Mary Marley of Lusby dieid Christmas night, 2009, in a car accident on Route 4. She was born in Yokosuka, Japan in 1958.
Mrs. Marley graduated from University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1983. She served first at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, and later at Johns Hopkins as a clinical nurse on the Ostler 4 Unit. She received the Medical Nursing Staff Recognition Award from Johns Hopkins in 1985 for outstanding professional achievement in the field of medical nursing.For over 20 years, Mrs. Marley has worked in the Prince George's County Health Department. Mrs. Marley was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Benedict and a dedicated volunteer at Birthright in Prince Frederick. Survivors include her husband of 21 years, William H. Marley Jr., and children, William Marley III, a student at Villanova University, and Madalyn Marley, who attends St. Mary's Ryken High School; her parents, Commander Emil and Mrs. Rosalind Zseleczky , sister Ellen of the home, brother, Victor, of South Haven, Michigan, mother-in-law, Mary Lou Marley of Valley Lee;, and niece, Abigail Harris of Charleston, South Carolina. She is also survived and an uncle, Mr. Joseph B. Waters, as well as a number of cousins. The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 30, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes island Road, Port Republic, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday December 31, 2009, 11 A.M. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Benedict MD. Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery on Laveille Road, Port Republic, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to Birthright, 100 Armory Road Prince Frederick MD 20678.
