Mr. Lockhart served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergent from 1948 through 1954. He was a serviceman for Washington Gas Company for 30 years and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Waldorf. He was married to his first wife, Vivian Rose Lockhart for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and family man. He worked St. Paul's silent auction and performed many handyman jobs around the Church.
Predeceased by his parents; first wife, Vivian R. Lockhart; daughters, Carol Sue Lockhart and Cindy Lee Belcher. Survived by his wife, Linda Knott Lockhart; sons, Bernard F. (Rebecca) Lockhart of Denton, MD; Lee M. Lockhart of Waldorf, MD; daughters, Sharon L. (Richard) Mundey of Lusby, MD; Stelphanie L. (James) Berry III, of Waldorf, MD. Also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation: Tuesday, December 29, 2009, from 9:30AM to 11AM, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Waldorf, MD. Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 29, 2009, beginning at 11AM, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Waldorf, MD. Clergy: Rev. Joy Rose. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
