Gordon Clarence Davison, 72, of Waldorf, MD, a cancer survivor of four years, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday morning, December 17, 2009, at home.

Gordon adored his children, grandchildren and his wife of 44 years, Janet. He was willing to do anything and everything for them. He was a very positive, loving, selfless, and happy man who enjoyed life to the fullest regardless of any obstacle that faced him or his family.

He worked at C&P Telephone Company and Bell Atlantic for 25 years. Then he worked at Sam's Club in Waldorf for 7 years. Recently he taught computer science at Southern Maryland Community College for 10 years.

Gordon was a member of the Pioneers Club and the W.B.G.A. Club. His passion was golf and teaching. He loved being around people.

Born March 7, 1937, in Warrendale, PA, he was the son of the late Harry T. Davison and the late Zita Henry Davison.

Preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Davison and Ralph Davison, sisters, Hilda White and Thelma Lison.

Survived by wife, Janet Davison; sons, Damien Davison and Travis Davison; sisters, Eileen Czajkowski and Marguerite Fox. Also survived by daughter-in-law Deni Mulloy; grandchildren, Kara Davison, Kirsten Davison, Devin Davison, and Tyler Davison and step-grandchildren Dymond Mulloy and Jessy Hoover.

A gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, 5PM to 8PM with a memorial service beginning at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Rev. Robert Carter will officiate.

Interment will take place at a later date.
