Ellen Louise Hibble, 86, of Mechanicsville, MD, died December 3, 2009 at the Taylor Farm Assisted Living Home in Bushwood, MD. Born November 14, 1923 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of James J. Wilmot and Mary Agnes Sullivan Wilmot.

Mrs. Hibble and her family lived in Silver Spring, MD before moving to St. Mary's County in 1997. She was formerly a Crossing Guard with the Montgomery County Police Department and worked there for 25 years. She also worked for the Red Cross.
Mrs. Hibble was a member of the Silver Spring Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary since 1950.

Mrs. Hibble was pre-deceased by her parents; husband, Clifford Fletcher Hibble, Sr. brother, James Joseph Wilmot and daughter, Patricia Ann Sheldon.

She is survived by sons, Clifford Fletcher Hibble, Jr. of Cambridge, MD and James Michael Hibble and wife, Robin of Merritt, NC; daughter, Marion Louise Lallande and husband, John of Dameron, MD and sister, Mary Margaret Wetmore and husband William of Wheaton, MD.

The family will receive friends for Ellen's Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a prayer service will be held at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Chaptico, MD by the Rev. Timothy Baer. A Committal Service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD.
