Queen, Theodore James "Buddaball" Age 75 of Indian Head (Pisgah), Maryland.
Peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Genesis Healthcare Center in La Plata, Maryland. Theodore James Queen (75) went home to be with his Heavenly Father. "Buddaball," as he was more affectionately known, had been in and out of Civista Medical Center and Genesis Nursing Center, both in La Plata, Maryland, because of his illnesses. He was the oldest boy of seven children, born on August 17, 1934 in Pisgah, Maryland to the late Mary Madeline Barnes and the late James Henry "Big James" Queen. Buddaball was brought up the right way and that is, to always love God. He accepted Him at a very early age and he attended the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church located in Pisgah, Maryland. He was educated in the Charles County Public School System. In the early years of his life, he worked at Swanns' Store in Pisgah, Maryland as an assistant stock clerk and cashier. Later, Buddaball worked in the field of Construction as a laborer, until he was injured on the job. Last, but not least, he was a Manager at a gas station located in Mason Springs, Maryland. Buddaball had a very, "Special Love," for his family and friends. He enjoyed all family gatherings and reunions. He had the biggest heart, especially, for children and he was often the family's and neighbors, "Babysitter." His nieces and nephews looked forward to it when their Uncle Buddaball watched them. He waited every year to go to Hershey Park Amusement Park with his niece, Deborah and always volunteered his services without hesitation to the people that didn't have transportation. Buddaball had a passion for life, he enjoyed shooting dice, playing cards, playing the lottery and going to the Racetrack with his nephews, Chris, Morris, Meachie, Jason and Larry. However, his undying passion of "Getting The Gas Off His Chest," by mashing on the excelorator of his car, was by far his favorite. He had a definite Need for Speed! He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan! Every evening you could find him at his sisters, Ruth house faithfully, to talk or have her ride somewhere with him and you could also find him at his special friend's house, Nadine Kelton. He really enjoyed, "Shooting the breeze," with the Boys! You could spot Buddaball in Mason Springs, every evening, sitting in his car, under a tree and talking to everyone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his, brother, Morris E. Queen, Sr., older sisters, Azell Gutrick and Evelyn Travers, brothers~in~law, Joe Louis Travers and Reginald S.
