Francis John "Frankie" "Kazoo" McDaniel, Sr., 46 of Mechanicsville, MD died November 15, 2009 from injuries received in an accident. Born March 3, 1963 in Cheverly, Maryland, he was the oldest son of Clinton Ivan McDaniel and Judy Ann Werner McDaniel and grew up in Cheltenham, MD.

He was employed as a diesel mechanic for the Prince Georges County School Board.

A devoted husband and father, he enjoyed life. He was previously a fireman and EMT for the Upper Marlboro Fire Department and the Baden Volunteer Fire Department. He was a proud member of the Iron Horsemen Motorcycle Club and loved his 2002 Full Dresser Fireman's Edition Harley Davidson Classic. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and hunting, and oldies and country music were his favorites.

In addition to his mother, "Frankie" is survived by his wife, Cindy Leigh Owens McDaniel and children, Sarah M. Wieman, Shannon E. McDaniel and Francis John McDaniel, Jr. ("Jr."); brothers, Randy McDaniel and Clinton "Mac" McDaniel; sisters,Tammy Richards, Tina Rice, Judy McDaniel and Pam Warner.

A Memorial Gathering to celebrate "Frankie's" life will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Gene Yakey and Gordon "Preacher". Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McDaniels Memorial Fund, PNC Bank; 37650 Oak Station Drive, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
