TAYLOR SCOTT BURGESS, JR. (Age 91) "TS" Of Charlotte Hall, MD. departed this life peacefully with family on October 24, 2009 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. Born on December 4, 1917 in Lewisburg, W.V. to Taylor Scott and Lelia Aida Burgess.

He was a WWII Army veteran. He was a Washington D.C. metro bus driver for 27 years.

Preceded in death by his first wife Irene Arnold and son Douglas Scott Burgess.

He is survived by his second wife Theda Burgess of Morgantown, WV, his son, Steven Ray Burgess and his wife Margaret, grandchildren Stephanie and Steven R Burgess II of Lexington Park, Md. Granddaughter Taryn and husband Mike Millsaps, great grandchildren Tristen and Mikayla Millsaps of Clinton, Md. and his adopted grandson Johnathan Torney.

Memorial service was held on October 31, 11 a.m. at the Oxon Hill Church of Christ, 4201 Brinkley Road, Temple Hills, Maryland 20748. Final interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on the 21st of December 2009 at 1:00 pm.
