Elinor Cunningham Bartolomeo, 87, of La Plata, MD, died November 8, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Elinor loved the fall season in Washington, but really cherished her summers in her beloved Maine. She enjoyed being around her family and was an avid reader who enjoyed her daily crosswords.

Born October 25, 1922, in Dover-Foxcroft, ME, she was the daughter of the late Allen D. Cunningham and the late Elsie M. McGuire.

Predeceased by her parents.

Survived by her husband of 67 years, Michael J. Bartolomeo; sons, Stephen and his wife Evelyn Bartolomeo of White Plains, MD; Michael and his wife Gigi Bartolomeo of Ft. Washington, MD; Thomas and his wife Cynthia Bartolomeo of Crownsville, MD; Peter and his wife Cynthia Bartolomeo of Waldorf, MD; and Paul Bartolomeo of SC; daughters, Antonia and her husband David Gallagher of La Plata, MD; Anita and her husband Joseph Truban of DE; and Regina and her husband Norman McKeever of Marbury, MD. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with Wake Service at 7 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata, MD.

Father Ron Potts will officiate.

Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
