NEWMAN, LAWRENCE RONNIE (AGE 66) OF INDIAN HEAD, MARYLAND.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2009, Lawrence Ronnie Newman was called home by his Lord and Savior at the Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland.

Ronnie as he was more affectionately known was born on March 18, 1943 in La Plata, Maryland to the late Leonard and Bertha Newman. He was educated in the Charles County public schools. Ronnie was baptized at a young age as a Catholic.

He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his children. He also was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and he loved taking people where they needed to go.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his son, Charles C. Newman, three sisters, Helen Newman, Marie Brooks and Elaine Lloyd, two brothers, Leon Newman and Rudolph Newman.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dorothy, eight children, Jason(Jaynelle) Newman, Greg(Blondell) Rosier, Elizabeth "Fern" Newman(Charles-deceased), Emmitt(Luwalhati) Newman, Lavel, Lanique and Larrel Newman, three stepchildren, Lamar, Latisha and Lynette Penny, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Joyce Curry, Bernadine Newman-Obango and Hazel Proctor, three brothers, Russell, Calvin and Francis Newman, a special friend, Patricia Dunnington and a host of relatives and friends.

Viewing, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 8:00am to 10:00am. Mass of Christian Burial,10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland. Interment Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, La Plata, Maryland.
