Margaret Cecelia Murphy, 72, of La Plata, MD, died October 25, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mrs. Murphy worked as an Activities Director for 27 years at the Clinton Nursing Home where she received many awards for her friendliness and diligence towards the residents. She enjoyed dancing and traveling especially to Myrtle Beach and Ocean City.

Born January 6, 1937, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late John O. Clements and the late Edna M. Herbert Clements.

Predeceased by her parents; daughter-in-law, Vicki Murphy.

Survived by sons, Thomas M. Murphy, Jr. of DE; Donald E. and his wife Tina Murphy, Sr. of Auburn, WV; daughter, Margaret M. and her husband Russ Hodge of Mechanicsville, MD; sisters, Helen Adams of La Plata, MD; Audrey Oliver of Morganza, MD; eight grandchildren, Bryan, Cassi, Timothy, Thomas, DJ, Lisa, Justin and Kaylee; two great-grandchildren, Kent and Kambrie.

Visitation of Friday, October 30, 2009, from 12:30PM to 2PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service on Friday, October 30, 2009, at 2PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate.

Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
