Frank R. Gore, 65, died October 15, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD after a lengthy battle with cancer. Frank was born September 23, 1944 at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. to Thomas L. and Pearl Hobbs Gore.

He was raised in Southeast Washington and attended Chamberlain Vocational High School in the District. He lived in Hillside, MD prior to enlisting in the US Army, and served from March 1966 until being discharged in February 1968 as a Specialist 4th Class. He was an infantryman and earned the National Defense, Good Conduct, Rifle Marksman and Army of Occupation (Berlin) Medals. Upon his discharge he lived in Randallstown and later Pikesville, MD, and worked as a plumber for Krick Plumbing Company of Baltimore. In 1985 he began working as a plumber for the Federal Government at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., retiring in 2003.

He married Suzanne Oliver Gore on October 22, 1994, and they lived in Owings and in Dunkirk since 1995. Frank loved fishing, listening to music, visiting friends and neighbors, solving jigsaw puzzles and coin collecting. He especially enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Gore and by his stepfather Charles Guiliano.

He is survived by his wife Sue, his mother Pearl Guiliano of Golden Beach; daughters Michelle L. Gore of Middle River, Rebecca A. Morris and Suzanne Sajjad, both of Reisterstown; a stepson John F. Oliver, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Dunkirk; sisters Joyce Phillips of Golden Beach and Nina McClanahan of Waldorf; brothers Thomas Gore of Easton and Charles (Joe) Guiliano of Mechanicsville.

He is also survived by grandchildren Melissa Higgs, Brandon Higgs, Katelynn Morris, Alexis Gist, Britny Hill, Ashley Robinson and Kaci Oliver.
