Lillian Irene Burton, 93, of North Beach, MD and formerly of Hyattsville died September 9, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital. She was born June 3, 1916 in Richmond, VA the daughter of Robert F. and Gladys V. (Leppo) Blackburn.

Lillian was raised in Hyattsville and attended Prince George's Schools. She married William G. Burton in Washington, DC on August 10, 1936. Mr. Burton died November 3, 1909. Mrs. Burton moved to North Beach in 2001. She was a Member of the First Baptist Church of Hyattsville. Lillian enjoyed interior decorating and making a home for her family.

She is survived by a daughter Sandra Hardisty and her husband Charles of Owings, MD, a son Robert Burton of North Beach, MD; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and sisters Ora Foresta of Prince Frederick, MD and Peggy Viens and her husband Dennis of North Beach, MD.

She was preceded in death by brothers Carlyse Blackburn and Robert F. Blackburn, Jr.
