Christa attended Oxon Hill High School and later worked with her husband at their business "Messineo' s Home Improvement Company. She was very religious and always reading the Bible and was very helpful and sweet to all she met.

Survived by her parents Vincent B. Janes of White Plains, MD and Katherine Williams of La Plata, MD; her husband Joseph P. Messineo of Lusby, MD; six brothers Ryan Janes of La Plata, MD, Wade Williams of La Plata, MD, Vincent Janes Jr., Ricky, Wesley, and Nicholas Janes all of White Plains, MD; four sisters Angel Janes of Virginia Beach, VA, Shannon, Teresa and Samantha Janes all of White Plains, MD; step-mother Diane Janes; paternal grandfather Vincent R. Janes; maternal grandfather Ted Freeman.

Funeral Service: Friday, September 4, 2009 at 10:30AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.
