Sean Michael Lindner, 22, died at his residence in Owings, MD on August 30, 2009. Sean was born October 24, 1986 at Travis Air Force Base in California to Michael G. and Kathleen Meservie Lindner.
He lived with his family in California and Hawaii, and moved with them to Owings when he was 8 years old. He was raised in Owings and attended Windy Hill Elementary and Middle Schools, and Northern High School. He moved to Virginia to live with his mother, and graduated from Colonial Forge High School in Stafford VA, class of 2004. He enlisted in the US Navy on November 23, 2004 and served aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, and also served in Afghanistan, earning the National Defense and Global War on Terrorism Service Medals. He was discharged December 14, 2006. He was currently working as a marine mechanic at Herrington Harbor North Marina in Tracy's Landing, MD. He had a passion for cars, and enjoyed working on and repairing them. He was outgoing and sociable, and had many friends. He also loved animals, especially dogs. He is survived by his father and stepmother Michael G. Lindner and Linda Greaves of Owings, his mother Kathleen S. Sykes of Mississippi, a son Edward of Prince Frederick, twin brothers Nicholas and Zachary Lindner of the home, step-brothers Ryan, Travis and Zachary Greaves of Owings, and grandparents Gisell Lindner of Stroudsburg, PA and Ronald and Martha Meservie of Vero Beach, FL. A Memorial Mass will be held at a date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his name may be made to the Humane Society of Calvert County, P.O.
