Ella Grey Davies, age 101, of Solomons, MD and formerly of Huntingtown, MD died August 25, 2009. She was born November 19, 1907 in Fairfax, VA, the daughter of Meredith and Sarah Ann (Hutchinson) Beatty. Ella received her education in Virginia public schools arriving on horseback with her father.

She was married to Sidney H. Davies. Mr. Davies died July 19, 1970.

Mrs. Davies was employed as a resident manager for an apartment complex in Arlington, VA.

She moved to Huntingtown, MD in 1998 and to Solomons in 2008. She enjoyed movies, knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening and especially dinner with her friends from Fairfax, VA.

Besides her husband Mrs. Davies was preceded in death by a sister Annie Pearson.

Ella is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Osbourn of Solomons, MD, three grandchildren, five great grandchildrenand one great great granddaughter.
