John Edward Boarman, 94 of Tompkinsville, MD, died August 6, 2009, at St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD.

Mr. Boarman was a lifelong bachelor, farmer, and waterman who elected to stay home and help his parents manage the family farm.

Born December 23, 1914, in Newburg, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Austin Boarman and the late Agnes Alberta Shorter Boarman.

Predeceased by his parents; brother, Francis "Carroll" Boarman; sisters, Elizabeth Boarman and Natalie Jackson.

Survived by his brother, Francis DeSales Boarman; sisters, Margaret Millar and Sr. Agnes Edward SJW; six nieces and nephews and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009, from 10AM to 11:30AM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Issue, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at 11:30AM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

Monsignor Karl A. Chimiack will officiate.

Interment will be at the Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Carpenter, James R. Coleman, David Langley, Joseph Mattingly, Craig Bolen, and Wayne Boarman.
