E. Irene Worley, 67, of Chesapeake Beach, MD died August 7, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD after a brief illness. Irene was born February 20, 1942 in Glade Spring, VA to General Lee and Blanche (Thomas) Creasy.

She was raised in Glade Spring and graduated from Liberty Hall High School, class of 1959. She married Everett M. Worley on May 13, 1960 and they lived in Sacramento CA while he was stationed there as a member of the US Air Force. They lived in Hyattsville, MD after his discharge in 1964, moved to Lothian, MD in 1976, and to their current home in Chesapeake Beach in 1987. Irene was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family, especially during Christmas and other holidays. She enjoyed scrap-booking family photo albums, collectables and completing puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Paul and Elmer Lee Creasy. She is survived by her devoted husband Everett, her daughter Janet Sue "Suzy" Meador and husband Ronald of Owings, her son Richard Alan Worley and wife Tracy of Prince Frederick, sisters Virgie Ferguson of Darlington, MD, Mary Louise McCracken of Colora, MD, Betty Mountain of Elizabethton, TN, Clara Hensley of Temple Hills, MD, Evelyn Shatley of Glade Spring, VA, Eva Doss of Meadowview, VA and Thelma Billings of Colora, and brothers Leonard Creasy of Glade Spring and George Creasy of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Shay, Justin, Mackenzie and Delaina Meador and Preston and Sabrina Worley.

Friends will be received at Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, MD on Tuesday August 11 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM., where funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held Wednesday August 12 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
