Richard Eugene Swan, Sr. 62, of Ridge, Maryland died on Friday, August 7, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born June 7, 1947 he was the son of the late Calvin Earl Swan and Lucille Harris Swan.

Richard is survived by his wife Regina Ann Clark Swann of Ridge, MD; one daughter; Jo Ann Winters of Great Mills, MD, three sons; Richard E. Swan, Jr., of Williamstown, NJ, Gilbert H. Stone III, of Hedgesville, WV and Sean Swan of Kansas City, MO, three sisters: Janice Louis of Collins, MO, Connie Niespodziany of SanDiego, CA and Penny LittleJohn of Edwards, MO, one brother; Gary L. Swan of Gravois Mills, MO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to Richard's Life Celebration in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 16555 Three Notch Road, Ridge, MD 20680 on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
