Ervin Alexander Ransome, 31, of La Plata, MD, died on July 27, 2009, at Prince George's General Hospital in Cheverly, MD. He was born on March 25, 1978, in La Plata, MD.

Mr. Ransome was a certified plumber with Southland Industries. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed racing his motorcycle at the drag strip. He had been a long-time member of the Blue Knights of La Plata. He enjoyed music, especially "Tupac". He also enjoyed being with his wife and kids, especially on vacations at the beach.

Son of George E. Ransome and Cynthia I. Matthews Ransome.

Survived by his parents; wife, Mandi L. Ransome; two daughters, Alexa and Kiera Ransome, both of La Plata, MD; two sons, Damon and Ervin Ransome, Jr., both of La Plata, MD; one brother, George A. (Latisha) Ransome of La Plata, MD; one sister, Alicia (Rick) Savoy of La Plata, MD; five nieces, Brittany, Destiny, Jayda, Ciarah and Ava; and one nephew, Travaun. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation: Saturday, August 1, 2009, from 9:30 AM to 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata, MD 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, August 1, 2009, at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Clergy: Fr. Fred MacIntyre.

Interment will be at Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Michael Ransome, Paul Ransome, Derrick Wright, Glenn Posey, Tacuma Ransome, and James Ransome.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ricky Mitchell, Clayton Smith, Brian Harley, and Tyrell Ransome.
