Doris Alene Payne, 75 of Charlotte Hall, MD died on July 24, 2009 at her residence.

Born on April 17, 1934 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Noah John and Laura Virginia Wiles Logsdon. She attended Fort Hill high school. She moved to the Washington, DC area in 1952, and to Charlotte Hall in 1977. Ms. Payne was a Homemaker.

She was the beloved wife of the late, James Ronald Payne whom she married in 1952. She is also predeceased by a brother, John Robert Logsdon.

Survived by children & their spouses, Bonnie S. & George Tabick of Hughesville, MD, James R., Jr. & Jackie Payne of Port Tobacco, MD, and John W. & Teresita Payne of Springfield, VA, grandchildren, Chadd, James, & Stephanie (Jason), great-grandchildren, Chadd, Jr., Brian, and Dylan, and caretaker, Lewis Tuttle.

Family will receive friends to Celebrate Doris's Life on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Chris Bryan. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
