William R. Buckmaster, age 85, died June 24, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. He was born in Chesapeake Beach, MD January 26, 1924 the son of Morris I. and Edith Pearl (Brady) Buckmaster.

William married Hilda Mae Marquess November 15, 1951 in Lower Marlboro, MD. He was a carpenter and painter for many years and later was a Calvert County animal warden until retiring 20 years ago. William enjoyed baseball, playing first base and later coaching both softball and hardball. He also enjoyed fox hunting and had dogs for many years.

William was preceded in death by his brothers James E., Charles M. and Robert S. Buckmaster. Surviving are his wife of over 57 years Hilda Mae Buckmaster and numerous nieces and nephews.
