Arnold S. Bowling, Sr. on June 25, 2009 at the Charles County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center LaPlata, Md.

Is survived by his children Arnold S. Bowling, Jr., Marilyn D. Edelen, and Penny L. Maddox. Sisters LaRue Redmond, Victoria Cook, and Irma Graves. Also survived by 5 Grandchildren and 1 Gr. Grandchild.

He is predeceased by his parents Charles, Jr. and Madeline Bowling, Brothers Charles, III, and Henry Bowling, Sister's Aliene Duncan, and Claribelle Umber.

Mr. Bowling was a pile driver and a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and lending a hand at the Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was injured at work trying to save a coworkers life June 17, 1963.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 1st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home,PA 211 St. Mary's Ave. LaPlata, Md. 20646. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 2nd 10am at the LaPlata United Methodist Church. Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, Md.

Pallbearers will be John Edelen, Jr., Shannon Bowling, R.J. Priest, Billy Maddox, Eddie Bowling, Herbert Redmond, Jr., and Sam Graves. Honorary Pallbeaers will be Charles Graves, Robert Smith, Butch Bowling, Lou Duncan, Stephanie Maddox, Valerie Priest, Bryce Edelen, Katie Edelen, and Lauren Knox.
