Mrs. Schaffenberger was a secretary for 28 years with Dart Industries in New Jersey. She was a member of the Clark Senior Center in La Plata, MD and the 2N1 Club. She enjoyed reading, the Port Tobacco Players, and being with family and friends. She moved to the La Plata area seven years ago from Brick, New Jersey.

She was daughter of the late William Watson and the late Ethel Bates Watson

She was predeceased by her parents, her late husband, Kurt P. Schaffenberger, and one brother, William Watson.

She is survived by one son, Karl R. Schaffenberger of Milford, NJ, and one daughter, Susan S. (Larry) Kelly of Hughesville, MD, and six grandchildren, Patrick, Erin, David, Meghan, Jonathan, and Matthew. Also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service & Interment will be held by the family at a later date.
