Dorothy Louise Trapp Stokes, "Dottie", 74, died June 12, 2009 at her residence in North Beach, MD. She was born July 18, 1934 in Annapolis, MD to William G. Trapp, Sr. and Dorothy Hess Trapp. She was raised in Landover, MD and graduated from Bladensburg High School, class of 1953.

She was married to Robert W. Stokes, and they lived in North Beach for over thirty years. She was employed as an accounts receivable secretary for a collection agency. She enjoyed being involved in community affairs, and was active in local politics. She loved spending time with family, and enjoyed reading and collecting books, and flower gardening.

Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband Robert W. Stokes, a son Andrew W. "Andy" Sullivan, Sr. and his wife Karon, daughters Rebecca Scariot and Vicki Everett, a brother William V. "Bill" Trapp, Jr., and grandchildren Kellie V. Little, Andrew W. "Drew" Sullivan, Jr., John M. and Mark C. Sullivan.
