Susan Curtin Cook, 62 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on June 10, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Born November 20, 1946 in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of Ruby Rush Curtin and the late Stuart Curtin.

Mrs. Cook attended George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA, where she was a classmate with "Jim Morrison". Mrs. Cook retired from Mt. Vernon Medical Center in 1998; she was an Administrative Assistant. Susan was a gardening enthusiast, she enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers, she also enjoyed cross stitching, being in her yard and feeding the birds; she was an avid Redskins and Rod Stewart fan.

In addition to her father Susan was preceded in death by her husband's Paul L. Jacobs, Jr. and Albert M. Cook, Jr.

She is survived by her children; Heather L. Bowles and Matthew W. Jacobs,
Siblings; Christopher Curtin, (Ruth Anne) and Debra Stewart and one grandchild; Matthew W. Jacobs, II.

Family will receive friends for Susan's Life Celebration on Saturday, June 13, 2009 from 4pm to 8pm in Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. where a Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 11am with Reverend James Chance officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.

Pallbearers will be; Brandon Wright, Christina Wright, Michael Roache, J.P. Hannan, Christian Curtin and Matthew Jacobs.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 15, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
