Bernard Richard "Dick" Gannon, Jr., age 76 died on May 27, 2009 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D. C. Dick was born on September 25, 1932 to the late Louise and Bernard R. Gannon, Sr.

Dick enjoyed boating, fishing and living close to the Chesapeake Bay.

Dick was preceded in death by his long time friend Louise McGaughey.

He is survived by his brother William Pierce Gannon and his wife Sandra, of Silver Spring, MD, a niece Leslie, and two nephews, Patrick and Matthew. Dick also leaves behind many good friends including Ron and Wanda Nagers and their family.

The family will receive friends on Friday June 5, 2009 from 1-2 PM, where services will follow at 2 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD. Interment will follow in Broomes Island Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Christopher, Ron, Tyler and Jason Nagers, Tim Tracy and Norman Spade. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Denton and Brian Guerier.
