Lucille Teresa Estep, 76, of California, MD died May 29, 2009 at George Washington University Hospital. Born August 8, 1932 in Bushwood, MD she was the daughter of the late Raymond Francis and Delia Frances Russell of Abell, MD.

She was the loving Mother of Brenda Kay Perrie of Cobb Island, MD.

She is also survived by her brother Richard Ned Russell of NC and her grandsons Edward Francis Perrie, II and Robert Mathew Perrie of Cobb Island, MD.

Her young life led her to the city. She worked for the Department of Defense for the Navy, Army and other Agencies. She met and married her husband who was originally from New York while he was stationed at Andrews Air Force base, while he was in the Navy. She loved flying Airplanes and enjoyed watching the Blue Angels and other private planes that flew in the air shows. She also enjoyed horse racing, dinner theaters, dancing and meeting people all over the world. She dinned at the White House while President Kennedy was in office and met British prisoners of war. She loved spending time with her Daughter and Grandchildren whom loved her deeply. She also thought the world of the man that her daughter cherishes, Walter Yerkie of Newburg, MD. She will always be very deeply loved and missed by all of her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel, Leonardtown, MD where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Compton, MD with Fr. John Mattingly officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown MD.
