Sandra Lea Severin, 50, of Waldorf lost her battle with cancer on May 29, 2009, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC.

She was born March 3, 1959 in Arlington, Va. She was a practicing massage therapist, an enthusiatic animal lover, mother, and friend. Her life long dream to own a log cabin in the mountains was realized in 2005 when she purchased a home in Somerset, KY. She enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Nell Maddage. She is survived by her father, Nicholas Frank Maddage; children, Raymond Patrick Severin, Jr., Jamie Lynn Severin, and Kara Nicole Severin; granddaughter, Brianna Alyse Severin;siblings, Nicholas Alan Maddage, (Debbie) and Rebecca Sue Maddage; husband, Raymond Patrick Severin, Sr.; nephew; Dolan Aubrey Maddage, extended family, Denise Kinnaman McLean, Jason Paul McLean, Katie-Jo Kinnaman McLean, and Emily Anne McLean; and her pets Hershey Kisses and Chloe.

Family will receive friends for Sandra's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, Md 20622. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00AM.
