Mrs. Barnette worked as an Electronics Engineer with the U. S. Navy at the Naval Ordnance Station (now known as NSWC) in Indian Head, MD for 30 years. She loved doing crafts, trucking across country with friend, eating crabs and going to Las Vegas. She was of the Catholic faith.

Daughter of the late Phillip Sabin and the late Dorothy Brown Sabin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband the late William C. Barnette Jr.

She is survived by her daughters Dawn M. and her husband Douglas Souris of La Plata, MD, Gina M. Davis-Brodeur and Dawn of Columbia, MD; son Joseph A. Barnette of La Plata, MD; sisters Judy Conley of Port Tobacco, MD and Andrea Clemens of Deale, MD; brothers Phillip Sabin of Alaska and Mike Sabin of Washington state; grandchildren Joshua Barnette, Katelyn Barnette and Johanna Davis Brodeur; boyfriend Charles Rut.

Visitation: Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 2PM to 4PM & from 6PM to 8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service: Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11 AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy: Rev. Ken Estep.

Interment: Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers: Tommy Conley, Jerry Golladay, Ian Monroe, Michael Beveridge, and Charlie Rut.

Honorary Pallbearer: Joshua Barnette.
