On Saturday, May 23, 2009 Inez D. Warren departed this life into eternal life at the Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland.

She was born on May 24, 1932 in Charles County, Maryland to the late Clarence McGruder and the late Dorothy Washington.

Inez married Chester Warren the love of her life in 1958. She devoted her life to Christ at an early age and was an active member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Pisgah, Maryland.

She worked many years at the Tower Cleaners in Indian Head, Maryland and later went to work for Abell Nursery in Marbury, Maryland. After realizing that her calling from the Lord was to be a childcare provider, Inez made her career, taking care of children until her health started to decline. She had a passion for caring for children and flowers.

She loved planting flowers and watching them grow. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent and Charles Washington, a daughter-in-law, Denise Warren and two brothers-in-law, Marvin and Charles Warren.

Left to cherish loving memories are her devoted and loving husband, Chester Warren; two sons, David Warren and Larry Warren (Dorinda); two sisters, Lola Carter (Albert) and Laura Washington; one sister-in-law, Rose Carroll (Morse); one brother-in-law, James T. Warren and a host of relatives and friends.

Her Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009, 10:00 am in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road (State Route #227, Pomonkey) Indian Head, Maryland until time of Service, 11:00 am. Interment, Smith Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pisgah, Maryland.
