Doris E. Nord, age 67, of Owings, MD died May 23, 2009 at her residence. She was born October 28, 1941 in Santa Rosa, CA, the daughter of John and Helga Rosenberg. She received her education in Santa Rosa Schools.

Doris was married to Ronald D. Nord on December 2, 1961 in Reno, NV. She had resided in California, Florida and Virginia before moving to Annapolis in 1976 and to Owings in 1988. Doris was a sales clerk at the Annapolis, MD Sears store, and most recently worked at the Peebles department store in Prince Frederick. Doris loved all animals, especially birds, having many species as pets.

Doris was preceded in death by a son Mark William Nord and by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Ronald D. Nord, children Janelle A. Shifflet (Ernest) of Kailua, HI, Diane A. Nord of Lusby, MD and Donald O. Nord of Brooklyn, MD. She is also survived by three grandchildren, brothers John Rosenberg of California, Robert Rosenberg of Oregon and a sister Edna Waldo of California.
