It doesn't seem possible! That was mom's favorite quote! Sarah E Mehrtens 90 passed away Wednesday morning May 6 2026 after a long battle with dementia in Redmond, WA. She was born 10/01/1935 in Washington DC . She grew up and DC and went on to work for the federal government as an industrial specialist for the department of the navy and retired after 30 some yrs. She leaves behind a son Phillip Mehrtens, his wife Katherine and their children Ian and Regan, her brothers Alvin and Mack Riggs and a grand daughter Tina Webb along with numerous great grandchildren. She is pre deceased by her husband David Mehrtens, her daughter Sarah Webb, her Parents Cedric and Mildred Riggs and her siblings David, Earl and Sue Riggs. Sarah loved tennis and flower gardens. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for someone in need. There will no funeral services per her request. You can make a donation to The Dementia Society in her name or plant some Marigolds which were her favorites! I would like to also thank Evergreen Hospice and the amazing staff in the memory care unit at Redmond Heights senior living.
