Mullet, Woodward James
Death: Wednesday, March 11, 2026
Woodward "Woody" Mullet passed peacefully on March 11, 2026. Throughout his life, Woody was known for his strong work ethic, curiosity, and belief that a positive attitude could overcome any challenge- "can't" was simply never an option.

From his earliest beginnings growing a business, Woody's goal was not only to succeed but to gain meaningful knowledge and share it with those around him, encouraging others to grow and push themselves. He took pride in every aspect of his career, but he was especially proud of the work he did on the Phoenix Project, helping rebuild the Pentagon following the September 11 attacks.

Woody enjoyed working outdoors and was well known for his beautiful landscaping. He spent many happy hours refurbishing and restoring items, finding pride in bringing things back to life. One of his most recent projects was restoring a cabinet that had belonged to his grandmother, a task he approached with great care and dedication. He loved taking on challenges and always found satisfaction in figuring things out.

He also had a lifelong passion for coin collecting, a hobby that began when his father would bring home coins from work and share them with him.

Above all else, Woody's family held the most important place in his heart. Their love, courage, and support were always on his mind, and he was endlessly proud of them. He loved a good party, good food, music, and spending time with friends, and his annual gatherings were always filled with laughter and open doors-everyone was welcome.

Woody was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Mullet; his father, George Mullet; his brother, Jon Mullet; and his sister, Barbara Nurre.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Mullet; his daughters, Traci Pirrone and Karen Vennemann and her husband John Vennemann; his sister, Ardelle Woodring; his grandchildren James Pirrone, Drew Vennemann, Taylor Vennemann, Johnathan Pirrone (Elizabeth), and Justin Pirrone; his great-grandson, Kasey Cornwell; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Woody will be remembered for his determination, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Woody's honor to:
