Betty C. Simmons, 69, of Nanjemoy, MD passed away on May 8, 2009 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD.

She is preceded in death by her parents; John W. Speake and Theresa A. Speake, and sister; June Risko.

She is survived by her Son; Dean Risko, Daughter; Dawn Welch. Brother; Bucky Speake. Three Grandchildren; Dianna Risko, Trey Welch, and Casey Welch.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
