Shirley Smith Foard, 75, of Hughesville, MD, passed away on February 8, 2026, in Prince Frederick, MD. She was born on October 8, 1950, in Prince Frederick MD to the late Isaac and Betty Bowen Smith.

Shirley was a very caring and loving women that loved the hardest job in the world and that was taking care of everyone. She loved being on the water and she was an expert crabber and fisherman. She knew her way around on the water. Shirley also loved motorsports and taking weekend trips with her husband, going to different tracks in Virginia and Maryland watching the race cars.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Robert Foard, son David Foard and her three grandchildren Timothy, Robert Foard and David Tyler.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 18, 2026, at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD for a Memorial visitation from 11 -1 PM.
