Ronald Allen Wilson of Lexington Park, Maryland, born September 15, 1947, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, with family at his side.
The son of the late Frederick Wilson and Margaret Liberto Wilson, Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years Linda Gieske Wilson; daughters Amy Kodluboy and Kathryn Wilson; sons-in-law John Kodluboy and George Edgar; grandchildren Christine Allen, Joseph Kodluboy, Riley Edgar, Quinn Edgar, and Carson Kodluboy; grandson-in-law Joshua Allen; great- grandchildren Adaline Allen and Joe Joe Kodluboy; sister and brother-in-law Laura and Gary Roberts; nephew Garret Roberts; niece and husband Miranda and Russ Gathright; and great niece Lillyann Gathright. Ron was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic and the University of Maryland with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He joined the WST Ordnance branch at NATC Patuxent River, Maryland, and worked on weapons projects involving the A-4, A-6, A-7, F-4, F-8, F-14, S-2, P-2, Ah-1, Sh-2, Sh-3, and OV-10 aircraft. He graduated TPS Class 55 and earned his master's in Engineering Management from George Washington University. He became section head of the Ordnance Systems Department and, in 1989, took a position at NAWC Workload Management, then became assistant chief engineer for the Ordnance Systems Department till his retirement in 2014. Ron loved his family, and he loved science and science fiction, especially Dr. Who and works by Isaac Asimov. Some of his other interests included genealogy, photography, and astronomy. He was a quiet man who said little but was always ready to listen. He is already greatly missed. His family will celebrate his life privately at a later date.
