Bell, Michael Philip
Death: Saturday, September 20, 2025
Michael "Mike" Philip Bell, devoted husband, proud father, beloved Papa, avid golfer, and BBQ pitmaster, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Mike was known for his charisma, charm, and razor sharp wit - and equally respected for his unwavering ethics, quiet integrity, and deep love of family. He lived life to the fullest, with a rare ability to make even the most ordinary moments feel extraordinary. Whether it was a quick trip to the store or a backyard cookout, Mike brought joy, spontaneity, and usually a well-timed prank.

A self-proclaimed "serial hobbyist," Mike never did anything halfway. From RC cars to virtual racing, dominoes to golf, if there was a game to be played, he dove in headfirst - and his kids and grandkids were always close behind. He created fun wherever he went, but it was his steady presence and joyful spirit that drew people to him. If you spent time with Mike, chances are you laughed, learned something new, and walked away feeling a little more seen.

Mike was the heart and soul of his family. The love he shared with his wife of 42 years, Charla Bell, was the kind most only read about—beginning when they met at just 14 years old and growing into a once-in-a-lifetime bond that remained unshakable through every chapter of life. He adored her completely, and made sure she felt it every single day.

Together, Mike and Charla raised seven children - each of whom grew not only to admire him, but to consider him their closest friend. He coached baseball, softball, and football, rotating seasons so each child had their "dad's year." His coaching went far beyond the field - it was in the way he taught by example: how to lead with humility, love deeply, and show up when it matters most.

A meticulous planner by nature, Mike was the one everyone counted on to fix what was broken - whether it was a leaky faucet or a tough situation. He had an incredible mind, an abundance of practical knowledge, and an even greater willingness to share it. His children and grandchildren grew up learning by his side - not just how to build or repair things, but how to show up, work hard, and care deeply.

Family was everything to Mike. He was the driving force behind vacations, birthday parties, murder mystery dinners, and Sunday barbecues. His legacy is not only the life he lived, but the lives he shaped - with laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charla Bell; his children, Michael Bell and his wife Rayleen Bell, Christy Bell, LeAna (Bell) Felder and her husband Daryl Felder, James Bell and his wife Megan Bell, Andrea (Bell) Miller and her husband Jason Miller, Derek Bell and his wife Leanne Bell, Hilary (Bell) Gravelle and her husband Brandon Gravelle, and; Ryan and his wife Amanda Gass, and his fourteen cherished grandchildren: Joshua Bell, Malynn Bell, Nathan Bell, Faith Davis, Colton Davis, Hunter Todd, Lucas Bell, Thomas Miller, Charlotte Miller, Vivienne Bell, Lillian Bell, Wyatt Bell, Audrey Gravelle, and Jack Gravelle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine C. Lanphere; his father, Jack P. Bell; and his brother, Robert "Bob" Bell.

If there wasn't golf in heaven before, there surely is now with the reunion of brothers and lifelong best friends, Mike and Bob.
