Robert Sexton, "Bucky", 70, of Leonardtown, MD, passed away on September 2, 2025, at his home. Born on October 25, 1954, in St. Mary's County, MD, he was the son of the late Lillie Sexton and the late Eugene Sexton. Bucky was the loving husband of Russlynn Amy Sexton, whom he married in Leonardtown, MD on November 16, 2002. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Erin Engavo of Ft. Washakie, WY, Crystal Sexton of Mechanicsville, MD, Elizabeth Herrick and Garrett Cease of Leonardtown, MD, and Emily Savage and Joe Savage of Lexington Park, MD, his siblings, Margie Carter of Hollywood, MD, Mary Russell of Valley Lee, MD, Margaret Wheatley of Hollywood, MD, Louise Coombs of Great Mills, MD, and Rita Jaso of Windham, VT, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Bucky was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Sexton.

Bucky was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident. He worked at Chalk Point Power Generating Station for 37 yrs as a 1st Class Operator until his retirement July 20, 2020. While he loved being retired he still missed his lifelong coworkers who had become his close friends. Bucky served in the Army and had obtained the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Federal Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooters Medal, and letters of appreciation from his Commanding Officer before being Honorably Discharged. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as much as he could. He dreamed of flying and eventually earned his pilot's license. But Bucky's greatest joy was his family. He loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. To them, Pop Pop could do anything and knew everything.
