George Edgar Shaw, 86, of Charlotte Hall, MD, passed away on July 10, 2025, in Charlotte Hall, MD. Born on March 31, 1939, in Killingly, CT, he was the son of the late Louise Shaw and the late George R. Shaw. George is survived by his children Paul Shaw (Shannon) of Indiana, Billy Shaw of Indiana, Joseph Shaw of Maryland, and Johnnie Shaw of California, as well as 15 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Barnes.

George served in the United States Navy for 21 years, until 1980. He was an Electronics Technical Mechanic for BAE Systems for 21 years, retiring in 2001.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at a later date. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Shaw, Michael Barnes, Ray Ray Breeden, Malachi Briscoe, Antonio Shaw, and Johnathan Shaw.
