Vincent Anthony Morelli of Hollywood, Maryland passed away on January 31st, 2025 at the age of 82 after a life well-lived.

Vincent was born on March 23rd, 1942 to Anthony & Rose Morelli in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Lincoln High School, Vincent enlisted in the United States Navy.

A proud member of the U.S. Navy, Vincent was commissioned to the 1st Crew of the Adams-Class Guided Missile Destroyer U.S.S. Lawrence (DDG-4), and deployed for blockade duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962.

After his enlistment, Vincent continued to serve the U.S. Navy in his civil service capacity as an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic Foreperson both at the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA and after the base's relocation to Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.

Upon his retirement, Vincent continued to engage is lifelong hobbies, including model airplane building (both static and radio-controlled) as well as car collecting and showing.

Vince's level of artistic flair with paint and airbrush techniques resulted in incredibly realistic weathering on any of the World War II Airplanes he built. Fit, finish, and authenticity were all important aspects of his work. He was a member of the flying clubs The Glue Angels and The Pax Aero Squadron.

A lifelong automobile enthusiast and car collector, Vincent and his wife, Carol, were members of several car clubs over the years, including the Southern Maryland Corvette Club and the St. Mary's Rod & Classic Car Club. Vincent's and Carol's attention to detail, participation, and ongoing enthusiasm on the show circuit resulted in many awards over their years together touring up and down the mid-Atlantic region in various interesting automobiles from antiques to contemporaries. And Corvettes.

Friends describe Vincent as being a person who could be counted on to help with almost any project and was both skilled and knowledgeable. And Vincent's friends are cut from the same cloth. The mutual respect, admiration, and camaraderie that came from those interactions were fulfilling. He loved his friends and all of those shared experiences.

Vincent, a loving husband, father, and friend was predeceased by sister, Rosemary DiSangro. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol (nee Triszczuk); brother Michael; children Vincent (Donna), Anthony (Misty), Christopher, and Michael (Zoe, deceased); grandchildren Zachary, Ava, Anthony, Matthew, Emma, Amanda, Vance, and Zola; along with two great-grandchildren; step-children William, John (Nancy), and Marc (Joann); step-grandchildren Tyler, Summer, Mia, Ty, Tyler, Colin, and Morgan.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM. A graveside service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, will be announced at a later date.
