On Friday, November 29, 2024, Kenneth Stephen Brown of Huntingtown, MD, passed away peacefully in his home. He was born June 28, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland to Talmadge Joseph Brown and Lillian Marie (Totis) Brown. He was raised in Woodlawn, MD. After graduating from Cardinal Gibbons High School, Ken attended Catonsville Community College.
He began working at United Parcel Service and that turned into a 20-year career. He started out working part-time and went on to become a manager. Ken and his former wife had two sons together, David Jason (DJ) and Cory, who they adore. Ken met his wife, Barbara, at UPS and they were married in 1990. After leaving UPS, Ken worked with his brother David at his company, Maryland Medical Electronics. Ken worked there for more than 20 years, and he truly loved being able to work with his brother. Ken and Barbara adopted two daughters from China, Karissa in 2002 and Kylie in 2004. Ken loved his hometown of Baltimore and was a passionate fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. He loved blue crabs and swore that the best crabs came from Baltimore. He loved camping and taking trips to Maine, as well as tennis and golf. Ken felt strongly about helping others. He was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Calvert County Lions Club where he assisted with outreach programs, vision and hearing screenings, and fundraising events. Ken was devoted to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Cory Stephen Brown. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Anne (Brown) Brown, his son David Jason (DJ) Brown and wife April of Whiteford, MD, and his daughters Karissa RuHua Brown and Kylie Dehe Brown of Huntingtown, MD. He is also survived by grandchildren Aiden Brown and Krosby Brown and many other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 6 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. A reception following the service in the Great Hall of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 25 Church Street, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
