Betty T. Tuner, 76, of Port Tobacco died April 4, 2009 at Civista Medical Center. She was a homemaker. She was a devoted Christian, devoted Mother and loved her grandson. She enjoyed knitting, shopping, and music. Born August 22, 1932 in Cuba.
She was the daughter of the late Juan Sastre and the late Fredesvinda Sastre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Juancito Sastre. She is survived by her sons, Robert Tuner, II, and his wife Heather and Michale Turner; daughters, Sylvia Turner Brown and her husband Josesph, Vicki Turner, Cindy Pellos and Athalia Patton; sisters, Olga Hernandez, Adamina Sastre, Felicia Santiago and Teresa Phillips; grandson Alec Cabrera; cousins, Nilda Fernandez and Nyda Gonzales; and nephew, Juan Luis Sastre. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, April 11, 2009 at Accokeek First Church of God, Accokeek. A reception will follow at the church. The Rev. Darrell Hazard will officiate.
